Be The DUDE

Be the DUDEWhat is a DUDE?

Designated Unimpaired Driver Extraordinaire. We can all be DUDEs! DUDEs are cool, DUDEs are responsible, and DUDEs are needed.

What are the DUDE duties?

Being a DUDE means not drinking (not even one) and being the designated driver. Share the DUDE duty and do your part in being the chosen one that will make sure friends get home safely. Don’t take on more than you can handle, though. You can’t be responsible for more people than you can drive. Also, if someone starts getting out of line, it’s up to you to cut them off. You want peace and harmony, not bruises and bail money. Set the rules beforehand and stick to them.

Treat your DUDE right!

You HAVE TO treat your DUDE right! Pay for their food and drinks (non-alcoholic!) and make sure you stick with your DUDE. Many establishments will give free drinks to a designated driver. Ask your server, especially if you are in a large party. When it’s your turn to be the DUDE, expect the same royal treatment!

So, make a pact, spread the word, and be proud to #BeTheDUDE!
