“One goal I want to accomplish on campus as a CAB member is helping students realize driving under the influence can be more than just getting arrested or getting a ticket but possible manslaughter. I want my peers to know it doesn’t make them less of a person to give up their keys but it will actually makes them smarter and maybe a life-saver. I also want to accomplish unity on campus by helping students understand that we have to be responsible for one another when it comes to driving under the influence.”

paul-martinezPaul Martinez

Texas A&M University Corpus Christi
Psychology

“Drunk driving kills hundreds of innocent lives every year and too many people let their friends drive drunk. I want to educate my peers and give them the courage to act on their convictions, and stop letting their peers drive drunk. I really want to make a difference in my college campus and I feel that my CAB membership could give me the platform to influence and educate my peers. Drunk driving isn’t cool but hiding the keys from your drunk friend is heroic!”

ojeda-abbyAbigail Ojeda

Texas A&M University Corpus Christi
Bio-Medical Sciences

“I want to educate my peers about teen driving… I know that if a non-student talks to student about drinking they will most likely not listen as oppose to if a student was to talk to them. I can help reduce the number of teen deaths by educating the people that I go to school with about how to be the ideal person for the driver’s seat. I want to be part of a program that can help make a difference in someone’s life.”
