Xzavier Beacham

Major: Communications
Graduation Year: 2015
Xzavier wants to change the perception of driving drunk and help inform student athletes about the drinking norms and myths. He is the founder and president of the Black Student Union and has been the vice-president of CTX Alive for 2 years at Concordia University.
Jessica Berdan
Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi
Major: Political Science
Graduation Year: December 2015
Jessica is a member of the Islander Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team (I-ADAPT), Captain of the Women’s Soccer team and an intern for Student Athlete Affairs. As a CAB member, she wants to help generate ideas and learn from other students at different colleges about solutions to help and protect lives. She is exited and feels lucky to be chosen to be on the I-ADAPT poster representing the Islanders Women’s Soccer team.
Kassandra Canales
Texas A&M University – Kingsville
Major: Guidance and Counseling
Graduation Year: 2016
Kassandra enjoys spreading the word about alcohol awareness and the effects of impaired driving. She has helped organize many events to help educate her peers at Texas A&M – Kingsville. As a team leader, she feels that teamwork, dedication, time management and being open-minded all play a major role to accomplish her endeavors.
Jemm Corona-Morris

Major: Health & Wellness Promotion with a Minor in Psychology

Jemm has been involved with HealthyCats, a peer education group based out of Texas State Student Health Center, and is excited to be the president next year. As a peer educator, he would love to help improve the current crash and fatality statistics for future generations. As a CAB member, and a member of HealthyCats, he wants to collaborate efforts by teaming together to make a long lasting positive impact for everyone.
Sydney Franklin
Westminister College
Major: Political Science and Sociology

Sydney was a member of Teens in the Driver Seat (TDS) and was the Co-Chair of the Teen Advisory Board. She strives to make an impact in her community, and to spread awareness of driving under the influence at Westminster College. She has been an advocate to safe teen driving over the last couple of years, and wants to continue to make a difference.
Jonathan Raitz
Abilene Christian University
Major: Broadcast Journalism
Graduation Year: 2018
Jonathan is ready to become more involved in UDS and in the CAB. He is excited to be a part of the CAB and make a difference at Abilene Christian and would like to continue to promote safe driving on his campus, and keep the initiative moving forward.
Cassie Henk

Cassie was involved in Teens in the Driver Seat (TDS) in high school and was a member of the TDS Teen Advisory Board (TAB). As a member of the CAB, she will be able to use her experience of the TAB for the new Board and help make it a huge success. She wants to be more involved and help educate her peers make the right decisions.
D’Laine Palacio

D’Laine is excited to be a member of the CAB and involved in U in the Driver Seat, because her passions directly correlate with the program’s goals. She has a passion for educating her peers, at Texas State, since she is in the field of health education. She believes it is essential to educate students on the importance of irresponsible drinking and impaired driving.
Haley Satterwhite

Graduation Year: 2016
Haley wants to help inform students of things they may not know about distracted driving. She would like to make a difference and inform her peers on the risks, and allow them to decide for themselves. She is a member of Islander Alcohol and Drug Prevention Team (I-ADAPT), vice president of Blue Crew, Student Athlete Orientation Leader, Waves of Welcome Committee member and Broadcast Crew Floor Manager.
Fernando Sosa

Major: Political Science and Spanish

Fernando has previously served on the Teen Advisory Board (TAB) with Teens in the Driver Seat (TDS), and is excited to be a part of the CAB. He is looking forward to starting a U in the Driver Seat program at Texas A&M. He feels his involvement with many organizations on campus will help to get the word out and eliminate fatalities on the roads among our peers.
