Spring Break 2K17, Never Forget

Spring break is a college kids seven-day vacation where we strut that independence. Some students pick up more shifts at work, while others go home and treat their homesick feeling. Then there are the lucky ones who travel to escape the studious lifestyle. Many hit South Padre for UME, while others party hop the tri-cities or wander SXSW’s free shows.

Spring break brings memories that will last a lifetime with friends you will never forget, but a vacation can be ruined by making poor choices we know we should avoid.

Here are some reminders for Spring break 2K17:

Take turns driving on road trips. It’s never a safe ride with a drowsy driver.

If you have been drinking, do not drive. Splitting a taxi or Uber with friends is cheaper than a DWI.

Stay hydrated! Water is your best friend under the sun, especially if you’re kicking back with a beer by the beach.

Always keep an eye on your drink. Never leave your drink unattended. Do not take drinks from strangers that you did not see the bartender pour.

Use the buddy system to keep each other safe. Pay attention if your friend appears to have alcohol poisoning and never hesitate to call EMS.

Party safely, spring breakers!
